Canadian competitor Claude Fiset took this photo in-flight on Task 5, 7/19/97. Several competitors reported thermalling up to cloudbase at 8,200 feet, then finding thermals that took them to 10,000 feet or more -- 1,800 feet higher than cloudbase!
